Author's Bio

​Ololade Akintoye is a Nigerian born author, brand communicator and multifaceted writer, who is passionate about lending her voice to social issues in the society, especially those affecting women and the girl child and she creatively weaves her writing around causes that will tug at your heart strings and inspire you to seek and take positive actions and changes. 


In 2009, she published an Academic Paper on the ‘The Role of The Mass Media in the Curtailment of FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) in Nigeria’ which was presented at the Idowu Sobowale Conference on Media, Governance and Development in Africa, held in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State Nigeria, where she also graduated from the department of Mass Communications.


Ololade has also written several articles, scripts, short stories and poems.


She published her debut fiction novel, "Brimestones & Rainbows: Memoirs of a Child Bride" under the Prima Imprint of Narrative Ladscape Press in 2020 and her debut Poetry collection, "Emerging", a narrative free-verse collection, in May 2021. Which she hopes will inspire every woman out there to be the best version of themselves.


As a brand manager and marketing professional, she combines her literary talent with her expertise. Through her works, she consistently advocates for change and has made a tangible impact.


Her latest book, "Monthly Flower," published in 2023, a comprehensive guide to puberty and periods for tweens and teen girls, is her latest testament of her passion demonstrating a commitment to equipping young girls with knowledge, fostering confidence, and contributing to a more informed and empowered generation.


Ololade's commitment to social causes and her impactful writing have positioned her as a force for change in the world of literature and the society at large.
